Google searches related to Valentine’s Day increased 35% compared to last year. Not only are more people searching, and they’re searching two days earlier – last year people began looking for Valentine’s Day ideas on January 9th. This year Valentine’s Day searches began on January 7th.

In 2011 the average man spent $158 for Valentine’s Day, about $80 more than women. Women look for Valentine’s Day gift ideas earlier and more often than their male significant others.

If you look at the word cloud below searches include “diy valentines gifts” and “valentines day baskets,” which means there will be quite a few people unwrapping homemade gifts or pre-made gift baskets this year. The biggest cluster of phrases, “valentines day border,” “valentines day drinks,” and “valentines day meals,” signal that people are also planning on celebrating with food, drinks, and homemade recipes and decorations for Valentines. Valetine’s recipes on YouTube are a big hit.

Valentines Day Retail sales in growing annually. 2011 sales were over 15 billion. Valentine’s day gifts such as jewelry, gifts and flower are on the increase.

Fill Her Love Bucket Today!

When a man wants to honor is wife for their anniversary and takes two months to plan and build a gift he automatically moves up to MASTERMAN status.

That is exactly what William did when he recreated the most amazing and wonderful parts of his wedding and married life. He presented the beautiful Jacqueline with this “Heart & Soul” gift that is hand crafted with intricate detail.

He provided this present in the form of a beautiful physical object that accompanied a weekend getaway. But what he really provided was a memory that will last forever.

Keeping his gift clandestine was tough. He built it at home and had to do it while Jacqueline was not around. William, an attorney, does not usually have cuts on his hand. His clothes are not sprinkled with gold. His two children were sworn to silence which was a miracle in itself that they could keep it a secret. In fact, their daughter told a while lie and said to her mother, “Daddy got you a piece of jewelry and he’s trying to fool you by putting it in a big box!”

The love story of Jacqueline and William goes on long before their twelve years of marriage (Congratulations!). They met when Jacqueline was 21 and William was 34. Jacqueline felt she was too young for marriage and they went their separate ways. Jacqueline moved away. Years later she came home for a funeral and thought of William. Jacqueline decided she would stop by his office and see him on her way to the airport but there was so much traffic that she did not have time.

When she arrived home she found a letter waiting for her. It was from William. He had actually hired a private investigator to find her. He loved her after all those years and wanted to see her. A marriage proposal quickly ensued. Like many marriages it is not perfect but they communicated and work on it together.

Jacqueline and William got married in Venice, Italy, on a Gondola on the Grand Canal. Deep passion fills both their hearts! They have been back to Venice several times and their home is filled with Italian chandeliers and tapestries that reflect their romantic love.

The wedding in Venice represented their romantic sentiments but to make it all legal in the United States they got married again at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. All the details of their two weddings are captured in the hand-carved sculpture from William.

William researched the details, painted the gondola seats blue (Jacqueline’s favorite color), covered the stars (which are crystals) and horses with gold foil. He filed off the horses saddles. He painted the hair on the figurines and attended to the minutest details. He ordered the Lion charm to represent the Venetian Lion of St. Marks. The columns represent the columns of the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco.

A gift like this is priceless. A gift like this that represents your love provides a memory that only two lovers can truly appreciate. It is personal, cherished, and intimate. When William explained every detail of his creation to Jacqueline he was beaming with pride. She felt his love coming from every part of his being. Each ornament and item is a monument of his love for her.

William filled the love bucket with the Provisions Ring of Desire. Provisions often has a physical form like gift or present but it is so much more. FORTUNE — Operating a successful business is supposed to be a ticket to the good life — but sometimes it comes at a cost. The following Fortune Magazine article is annotated by Sherrie Rose, The Love Linguist, with tips to help guys fill the love bucket and understand how to stay in the (benevolent) power position and remain the Chairman of the Relationship, not just the Chairman of the Board.

Story: Stephen Adele was too busy building his $20 million Golden, Colo., nutritional supplements company, iSatori, to spend much time with his wife and three children.

"I would try to compensate by buying her and my family things," he recalls. The family pauses during Sunday dinners to talk about the week, discuss upcoming plans, and hold an occasional talent show. He joined his wife, Kari, a web developer, at a summit she needed to go to for work. "It was amazing that Razor took an interest in an event that I was excited to attend," she says. The Recognition Ring of Desire is when a woman wants to be recognized and that can come in the form of verbal recognition, such as a compliment or words of love such as “I love you.”

The guys who are in the dating dynamic use a lot of compliments which is when you are in physical proximity and face to face situation:

1. How she carries herself or how shy moves. Most men enjoy a woman who moves beautifully or who has great posture. Tell her: "I just wanted to tell you… I think you have perfect… posture. You just carry yourself so beautifully."

2. How she is dressed. Compliment on her style. Say: "I just wanted to tell you… I admire women with class and style and that’s definitely you…"

The Contact Ring of Desire comes in several forms and in physical proximity and face to face it has to do with physical contact, caressing, stroking with your fingertips, and skin contact, etc. But when you are out of proximity, the Contact Ring of Desire has to do with electronic contact. That is receiving messages such as voice mail, text, email, or any form of message that connects you when you are apart.

Vivian Glyck started Just Like My Child Foundation because she couldn’t believe that children in Africa, who are just like her son, were living in such extremely dangerous and vulnerable conditions.

This year, Just Like My Child Foundation is filling the love bucket of children in Uganda with school supplies.

I learned of Just Like My Child a few years ago. One of the ways a man gets to be a hero at home is to recognize the essence, the inner passion, of his special lady. Recognition is one of the 7 Rings of Desire of Her Love Bucket. Mike’s wife, Vivian, had a passion to create a charity foundation Just Like My Child, to help less-fortunate children in Uganda.

Mike Koenigs and Frank Kern made it their business to assist the Just Like My Child foundation with donations from various seminars and training. Mike and Frank took proceeds from the sales and donated 100% to the Just Like My Child foundation.

Mike Koenigs continues to support the Just Like My Child Foundation. He is a hero who recognizes his wife Vivian’s essential passion, and taking action to contribute and participate in something that truly makes a beneficial difference in so many lives.

Along this line, you know how every time you go to a conference, you’re given a mass-produced tote bag with the logo of the sponsoring organization? Well, this year, Traffic Geyser, Mike Koenigs company, did something a little different — and it created a BIG change.

Exhibiting it’s commitment to global consciousness, Traffic Geyser purchased conference bags for its Social Media Marketing Machines event from women at the Asili Hospital in Uganda who are on AIDS treatment and ready to come back to life! Each bag is handmade, and through this income-generating project women are sending their children to school and supporting their families. Each bag represents a woman whose heavy load has been lifted just a little bit by being given the opportunity to create her own solutions.

TheMessenger Bag was just the beginning. Traffic Geyser’s Social Media Marketing Machines event, held March 12 and 13th, 2011,  helped to raise enough money for Just Like My Child Foundation to purchase a desperately-needed new vehicle for Asili Hospital in Uganda, invest in small businesses for over 500 families recovering from AIDS, and helped to fund badly-needed medical equipment!

Entrepreneurs on this side of the world helping entrepreneurs on the other side of the world to be self-sustaining is one of the fastest ways to alleviate poverty. Thank you, Traffic Geyser and Traffic Geyser customers for your support!

Note from Vivian’s April Newsletter: Flash forward five years,  Just Like My Child, has among other things, funded a new hospital, micro-enterprise programs, and the construction of six new schools. Everything we do is a HAND UP, NEVER A HAND OUT.

Just after Mother’s Day, on May 13th, for the first time, my 8-year-old boy will be coming with me to Uganda (it’s my 13th visit). He is really excited, and also pretty nervous since he’s learned a little too much about malaria. Don’t worry, we’ll keep him malaria-free   

Many children in Uganda go to school with NO school supplies, and have to sit in the dirt because there are no desks or chairs. Even though we’ve built many school buildings, the Ugandan government does not have the funding to equip the schools with the most basic necessities like books, chairs, desks, tables, pencils, markers, chalk and crayons.
