FORTUNE — Operating a successful business is supposed to be a ticket to the good life — but sometimes it comes at a cost. The following Fortune Magazine article is annotated by Sherrie Rose, The Love Linguist, with tips to help guys fill the love bucket and understand how to stay in the (benevolent) power position and remain the Chairman of the Relationship, not just the Chairman of the Board.
Story: Stephen Adele was too busy building his $20 million Golden, Colo., nutritional supplements company, iSatori, to spend much time with his wife and three children.
"I would try to compensate by buying her and my family things," he recalls. He attributes that to shutting off his phone as soon as he gets home so he can enjoy activities with her and their children– instead of checking e-mail poolside. => This is one of those common sense things that both men and women ignore. Giving attention especially when you are in physical proximity is a key to love success. If you are out of town, sweet-nothing voice mails, sexy texts (goes for guys and gals) may give her some attention and fun.
3. Hold family summits
D.J. Rezak, founder of KB Building Services, a commercial cleaning company in Omaha, credits weekly meetings with keeping the family organized and freeing up time for him to spend with his wife, Lisa. The family pauses during Sunday dinners to talk about the week, discuss upcoming plans, and hold an occasional talent show. 4. Share your interests
It’s easy to get so caught up in your own thing that you ignore your partner’s pursuits. Razor Suleman, CEO of I Love Rewards, a Boston rewards and recognition business with $50 million in sales, tries to avoid that mistake. He joined his wife, Kari, a web developer, at a summit she needed to go to for work. "It was amazing that Razor took an interest in an event that I was excited to attend," she says. 5. Schedule regular vacations

They now have one-week vacations each quarter — known as their "Qx vacation." The ground rules? He unplugs completely, giving her his smartphone. "She gives it back the following week," he says. "The Love Bucket" Google Speech Recognition Audio Indexing uses speech technology to transform spoken words into text and leverages the Google indexing technology to return the results.
A small microphone now shows on the right side of the search field in Google Chrome. Click on it and start speaking.
Google is using the same speech recognition and application model used for the Google Voice Search for Android.
What doe this have to do with filling the love bucket?
Well, as a lady who loves to get her LOVE BUCKET filled, this absolutely fills my love bucket! Why? Because technology turns me on! This is part of the Lifestyle Ring of Desire of the love bucket.
Having similar areas of interest in your lifestyle mean you have more to share. How do you think I found out about this? Because my main squeeze who is a Masterman and phenomenal propeller head turned me onto it. And that, ladies and gentleman, fills MY love bucket.

Oprah Fills The Love Bucket ~ Oprah Winfrey Show Finale 25 Years

That love bucket was referred to as a “safe harbor” today by Oprah Winfrey on her finale show, May 25, 2011.
Oprah said, "You all have been a safe harbor for me for 25 years. It’s strange, I know, but you have been. And what I hope is that you all will be that safe harbor for somebody else—their safe place to fall. Do for them what you all are telling me the show has done for you. Connect. Embrace. Liberate. Love somebody. Just one person. And then spread that to two. And as many as you can. You’ll see the difference it makes.”
The Oprah Winfrey show has filled many a love bucket with hope, opportunity, inspiration, motivation, education, and even a take ownership attitude to get off the fence and make a better life for yourself. Thank you, Oprah!
Oprah will continue to fill the love bucket wherever she is and whatever she does. Her message today is that YOU can fill love buckets too, by connecting, embracing, liberating, and loving someone. Just one person. And then fill the love bucket of two. And as many as you can. You WILL see what a difference it makes.
The love bucket concept was originally based on the 7 Rings of Desire of a woman. Does an Ice Cream Sundae Fill The Love Bucket? I guess it depends on you’re your unique requests that fill the provisions Ring of Desire of the Love Bucket.
First, about the ice cream sundae.
Sundaes have been pleasuring our collective senses ever since 1892, when an enterprising Ithaca, New York, soda fountain proprietor accessorized a scoop of ice cream with sweet syrup and candied cherry, then named it after the Sunday Sabbath. A sundae is not just any dish, but a dessert that is original, enduring, and authentically American. For well over a century, the ice cream sundae has been a symbol of our abundance and appetite, our ingenuity, and our never-lost youth. In their assembly, sundaes provide an unrestrained opportunity to express our essential character.
Now, about ‘The Love Bucket.’
The Love Bucket® has been filling up and shining our Rings of Desire® since 2008, when an flustered husband, with an nagging wife, was told that he was not filling her love bucket. The Love Linguist® explained that when her love bucket is full, he’s the hero, she’s happy, and your love and sex life ignite. The Love Linguist® wrote about this concept in a book entitled the 7 Ways to Fill Her Love Bucket that creates more relationship riches. So, does an ice cream sundae fill the love bucket?
When a man provided something a woman wants, needs, requests, or assumes she would like, then it usually does fill a gals love bucket. He ability to receive, be gracious, and appreciative makes her a Love Diplomat. Note: if she is on a diet it probably best not to surprise her with an ice cream sundae.
